The Emerging Elites Winter Program features individualized training programs combined with a Core Development Program that allows Emerging Elites athletes to convert their mileage from the cross-country season into indoor speed. The indoor track season allows athletes to find events that fit their strengths whether they run short-, middle- or long-distance. The Winter Program combines both strength and speed work to make athletes faster. Balancing the right amount of training and competition is key to a successful indoor season.

Please note the deadline for the Winter Program. To maintain the safety and quality of these facilities, we are limited with the number of athletes at each training session.

Competitive Group

Training Group

The Competitive Group is designed for athletes who do not have an indoor track program, but are interested in training and competing indoors. These athletes compete as the Emerging Elites club at several meets during the indoor season, including:

• 3 Developmental Meets at Boston University
• Youth Meets at Wheaton College
• Dartmouth Relays at Dartmouth College
• Yale Track Classic at Yale University
• GBTC Invitational at Harvard University
• USATF East Region in Providence
• Tufts Stampede at Tufts University
• Northeast Indoor Classic at Reggie Lewis
• USATF New England Championship
• New Balance Indoor Nationals at the Armory

These meets allow Emerging Elites athletes to gain racing experience against high school, collegiate and open athletes.  All entry fees are prepaid by Emerging Elites and are billed at the end of the program.

The Training Group is designed for athletes who have an indoor track program and are looking to supplement their scholastic training with access to great indoor training venues.
Many athletes in Massachusetts train in high school gyms, basements, cafeterias or hallways for indoor track practices. The Emerging Elites secures two great indoor training venues to get track time for proper training and development on actual running surfaces.
