Emerging Elites is a sanctioned and registered USA Track & Field club.

Winter Program 2007/2008

The Emerging Elites Winter Program features individualized training program combined with a Core Development Program that allows Emerging Elites athletes to convert their mileage from the cross-country season into indoor speed. The indoor track season allows athletes to find events that fit their strengths whether they run short-, middle- or long-distance. Balancing the right amount of training and competition is key to a successful indoor season. The Emerging Elites Winter Program is designed for athletes:

  • Whose schools do not have an indoor track program and who want to train and compete indoors
  • Whose schools have an indoor track program and who want to supplement their training and/or have access to an indoor facility
  • Who use the indoor season to compete in the spring outdoor season

Winter Training

The Emerging Elites Winter Program runs for 14 weeks, from the end of November to the end of February, with two practices per week. To allow more scheduling flexibility, there are two training programs available:

Winter Training Venues

The Emerging Elites Winter Program uses two indoor track facilities for winter practices. Monday and Wednesday workouts are held at the MIT Howard Johnson Athletic Center in Cambridge and the Thursday workouts are held at the Tufts University Gantcher Center in Medford.
