Green Initiatives

The TRACS Team is committed to using environmentally friendly practices in accordance with our corporate sustainability policy at all TRACS-managed events and in the workplace.

Event Management examples:
•  Bikes as our lead/trail race vehicles instead of petroleum-powered vehicles
•  Use of 100% recycled paper cups at all water stops
•  Food & beverages from local vendors, organic when possible
•  Excess food & beverages donated to local
    charities
•  Bib numbers printed on recycled paper with
    soy-based ink (instead of petroleum-based),
    some with fertile seeds
•  Bib numbers printed on Tyvek with a recyclable
    program through DuPont
•  Race communications based online (instead of
    via postal service)
•  Race results posted online (instead of printed
    and distributed)
•  Food waste compost efforts
•  Paper, plastic and glass recycling efforts
•  TRACS staff are encouraged to take public transportation & shared rides
    when traveling
•  Event selection is aligned with public transportation to & from the event,
    when possible
•  Shipping and packaging efficiencies for event equipment
•  Permanent, reusable signage
•  Recycling of vinyl banners into waterproof bags
