Internships & Co-ops
Our internship and co-op program gives students from colleges and universities around the world the opportunity to become involved in the global sports marketing and event management industry.
Interns and co-op students will get hands-on experience working on designated projects, including planning athletic events, creating strategic marketing and sponsorship packages and writing press releases. They will also directly impact the company’s overall business strategy and development.
The challenging opportunities and rigorous training offered to interns and co-op students extend far beyond the ordinary internship experience, unparalleled by most other internship programs. Those who join our team are expected to contribute significantly to our daily successes; every opinion is valued and we are always looking for a fresh perspective.
We are interested in a variety of candidates with all types of backgrounds as well as writing, marketing, communication, artistic or computer skills. - 1. What is the time commitment?
- Interns are required to work two semesters, this translates into the fall and spring semesters, the spring and summer, or the summer and fall. All internships during the summer are full-time and are part-time during the fall and spring. During the fall and spring, interns work approximately 18-20 hours per week, with a minimum of 15 hours per week.
- 2. What is a typical day at TRACS, Inc.?
- There is no typical day. The day’s agenda can change drastically within a matter of hours. Our staff works on a number of projects each day including managing budgets, writing contracts, booking vendors, and organizing end-of-year reports.
- 3. What projects will I work on?
- Interns work on a variety of projects, all depending upon where their interests lie. Interns also have the ability to experience areas of business, in which they have not had any prior experience.
- 4. Do I need a background in sports?
- No, however an interest in athletics is preferred.
- 5. Are interns paid?
- No, but they may be eligible for academic credit through their university.
- 6. Do interns get to travel to event sites?
- Yes, depending on staff/intern availability. These interns get the opportunity to experience the excitement of onsite events and see the final product of their hard work in the office.
- 7. Can my internship lead to a full-time position?
- Yes, the majority of hired staff has worked as interns or co-ops.
- 8. What do people wear to work?
- We work in a casual atmosphere, but we always want our staff to be presentable.
