The IDF 5K Run/Walk will be staged at the world famous Zabeel Park. Opened in December 2005, Zabeel Park covers an impressive 47.5 hectares of land and is ranked among the 10 most beautiful urban parks in the world.

The IDF 5K course will feature both the contemporary and futuristic style of the park: participants will begin in the renowned Megabowl, running along pedestrian walkways & the soft surface jogging track. They will proceed across the elegant Zabeel Park cable-stayed pedestrian bridge and continue around Boating Lake before returning back to the finish.

METRO
In an effort to keep the IDF 5K Run/Walk environmentally friendly, all participants are encouraged to take the Metro. Zabeel park is conveniently located one metro stop from the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre (DICEC), home of the World Diabetes Congress 2011.
    • The Metro begins service at 06.00 and runs every five minutes.
    • Participants should take the red line to the Al Jafiliya metro stop
    • Al Jafiliya is approximately a five minute walk from the Gate One entrance

PARKING
Ample public parking is available inside Zabeel Park outside of Gate One. The Gate One parking lot can be accessed from Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street.
